Love the reminders. Definitely need it during these times.

36:30
I find that when I am not maintaining my own well-being burnout creeps up on me very fast

36:33
Shocked that 60 seconds is all it takes to see those kinds of results

36:34
I also love the work of Shawn Achor.

36:36
Good reminder that we need to lead ourselves first

36:47
Really good stuff - good reminders!

36:48
Looking forward to everything else you have to share :)

37:01
so often students want to lead, but need to work on their own skills first

37:11
Looking inward at who we are and how we want to serve the world can be life-giving and effective leadership practices.

So much mindless time on my phone

01:00:43
Too much social media

01:00:47
Too much social media

01:00:53
Right there with you all.

01:00:58
just mindless phone conversations

01:01:01
Exactly!

01:01:03
I'm not always on apps on my phone, but the amount of "pick-ups"/distractions is high

01:01:20
I'm trying to improve my Spanish...1/3 of my screen time has been Education (Duolingo)

01:01:26
Agree with Emily! And social media usage.

01:01:43
Pickups...omg

01:01:48
Yes, whenever I get distracted or bored, I pick it up.

01:02:50
Love the "Done" app idea!

01:02:59
I love that-- hadn't heard of it before.

01:03:23
yes

01:03:46
I do set specific app timers on my phone, so they shut down after a certain number of minutes per day

01:03:59
love that, Haley!

01:05:35
author?

01:05:43
There is a setting on iPhone that allows you to set a do not disturb/auto message for texts that says you are away from your phone now and someone can call with an emergency. Good for boundary setting

01:11:14
Kristin, you are a wonderful and upbeat speaker. Thanks so much!!

01:11:28
Yes, this was great! Thank you - so needed right now!

01:11:36

01:12:13
Loved all the recommendations for books/apps and reminders of how small steps or actions can lead to great results.

01:12:22
Thank you - I appreciate the tangible tips and the book recommendations!

01:12:27
how do we get the recording and links?

01:12:29
The Calm app is great.

01:13:01
As a new mom I try to wake up before everyone at home to either have some me time or exercise for a little, it makes a big difference for the day. makes it a better day for sure :) would recommend that

01:13:01
Becky - we will send out the recording link within the next week. The link will go to all CPI members

01:13:11
I am a long-distance runner and have always viewed exercise/running as a task that cannot be skipped. Just like my job, I cannot just not work if I don't want to, I run even when I don't want to and am always glad after the fact. So there is no "I need motivation to run" just "I need to run"

01:13:37
Another resource: The Downward Dog apps, they have yoga, hiit, and barre options.

01:13:59
10 minutes every morning of hiit has made a difference for my energy during covid.

01:14:17
So excellent - truth shared in such an engaging and inspiring way. Thank you for sharing your wisdom!

01:15:06
especially as we go into winter, I think we're feeling less hydrated physically, so it's important

01:15:32
Thanks for the tips on tasks--sounds like a game changer
